Meet the Preferred Logic Team
Fred Dean is devoted to excellence and providing superior service to his clients. He brings over 35 years of experience working with small and medium sized businesses ranging from serving in the commercial banking industry for 20 years, where he introduced the first PC to the bank and used it to perform financial analysis of business borrowers, to starting his own businesses.
Fred’s focus shifted to business and technology consulting in 1992, to follow his passion to help growing businesses automate their critical processes. In 1999, Fred founded Preferred Logic, Inc., a reseller of mid-market accounting and business management software and a perfect marriage of his two favorite subjects: business management and computer software.
Fred is certified in multiple business software application systems, including Accounting, ERP, CRM, Manufacturing and Service Management systems. He has worked primarily with Sage software products, including Sage 300 (formerly Sage ERP Accpac), Sage CRM, Sage 50 U.S. Edition (formerly Sage Peachtree) and many industry specific add-ons.
Fred’s greatest business accomplishment is to succeed in applying his knowledge and experience to first, gain a deep understanding of each of his client’s business situation and then deliver a software solution that gets them where they need to go.
Fred has a strong commitment to give back to the community, serving on the boards of directors of several non-profit social service organizations. He is also an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, swimming and running. He started running marathons at age 50 and has now run 20 of them, including in Paris, Boston and New York City.
Pamela Sanborn has worked at Preferred Logic since 2001. She is currently the Office Manager and responsible for Client Services at Preferred Logic. Pamela loves to meet and help existing clients with their Sage 300 and Sage 50 needs.
Prior to working at Preferred Logic, Pamela worked at a direct mail company as the List Manager. She supervised a staff of 10 -12 people that maintained a very large database of addresses used by marketing companies for third class mail. She was a member of a research staff that went to post offices across the country collecting and analyzing information on the delivery of third-class mail.
She has degrees in Communications, English and Philosophy, in addition to some graduate work in Political Science and legal studies. Pamela loves to go on road trips with her husband, in addition to reading, volunteering, photography, gardening & writing.
